Kitchen Tip Tuesday – All Natural… quick… tasty

Lately my blog has been centered around Wildtree. Yes, I’m a bit obsessed. I promise after this post I’m going to talk about life again! I promise.

It’s Kitchen Tip Tuesday over at Tammy’s Recipes and it’s been a while since I participated, but thought this would be a great week to jump back in since I actually have a tip for the kitchen!

I recently found something that is working in my kitchen. I have been making the most delicious dinners these past few nights…. since Saturday to be exact, and every night my husband is shocked at the tastes that are tickling his taste buds. I think what shocks him the most is that what’s entering his mouth is healthy, all natural…. there’s absolutely no junk or crap about it. There’s nothing in the ingredients that you can’t pronounce, and I’m spending less time in the kitchen.

Shocking isn’t it? So, what in the world would make all of this possible????

WILDTREE

I couldn’t imagine ever going back after trying this food. I joined the company to become a rep just so I could sell this amazing food to others, announce this to the world, and be able to make enough money to get free food! Everybody eats, right? Why not eat healthy, save time and save money? Well, I’ve discovered that there’s so many more possibilities than just selling the food to get free groceries…. you can go above and beyond that!

When looking through the Wildtree catalog you might look at a price at first and be like…. um, wow… no thanks. However, you get multiple meals out of the products… the Hearty Speghetti Blend only uses 1 tablespoon per 28 ounce can of crushed tomatoes, the Slow Cooker Sauce can be used 3 times! It’s cheaper, it’s healthier and it’s shocking at how quick it is to cook! It’s also a great thing for food storage if you’re into that… I am 🙂 You never know when something’s going to happen when you’re going to have to rely on your food storage.

My husband keeps saying, how could anyone ever buy a jar of speghetti sauce ever again? Or alfredo sauce (those are both of our favorites!).

Wildtree also has a great compensation plan for their reps. The sky is the limit and this company is growing FAST! If you’re interested in making extra income, whether it’s $500 or $5,000 every month… this is definitely the company for you.

I’ve written a long, detailed spill on Wildtree HERE, and if you’re interested in checking out some of the products you can do so at www.amanda.mywildtree.com

If it’s not for you, although I couldn’t imagine how it couldn’t be, and you know someone who doesn’t like to feed their family foods with ingredients that you can’t pronounce, or MSG, or preservatives, or dyes….. let them in on this! Send them to my Wildtree website, or to my blog. Our nation is trying to be healthier and this is great way to get there!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope that if anything I got you thinking about checking the ingredients on the items in your cupboard, you might cringe…. especially if you go and look some of those words up.

And the winner is…….

Comment #11 per Random.org….. Carma Sez, congrats and I hope you enjoy your Basil Pesto grapeseed oil…. I know you will!!!

Things I Love Thursday – Roomba

The Diaper Diaries is an absolutely fabulous blog, and every once in a while I jump on her carnival of Thing I Love Thursday. I don’t like to tell people I love something unless I truly love something.

I truly, whole heartedly am head over heels in love with Roomba. Roomba does AMAZING things in this house. My floors are almost always clean. The best is when your kids have spilled gold fish right before bed and then stepped on them and when you wake up….. there gone. And you have this smile on your face, because you didn’t have to push around this vacuum whispering profanities to yourself about why in the world you would even think about handing that toddler a cup of goldfish.

Almost a week ago we got a puppy. We’ve named her Sophie, and I sometimes want to scream, because let’s face it…. puppies are HARD! But, my house still has this freshness to it, and I think I owe that to Roomba. No matter what, Roomba comes out and makes life better and easier for me. I’ve actually really come to love the little guy…. I’m talking about Roomba.

Don’t forget to GO HERE for my giveaway. It ends Friday night @ 9:00pm PST. Get you’re entries in… and don’t forget to read about how to get a double entry.

Feeding Our Families NATURAL FOODS – THE EASY WAY!

For this Works for Me Wednesday I wanted to share with moms out there an amazing new food line that is ALL NATURAL! There’s no preservatives, there’s no MSG, there’s no Dyes. Everything in these products are NATURAL! The company that is making this possible for us is called Wildtree.

I’m a work at home mom, and by the time dinner rolls around I’m cringing as I’m feeding my family junk. Sure, it’s a home cooked meal, but half the stuff I used to make it contain horrible things that my family doesn’t deserve to consume. However, I don’t have the time to spend hours in the kitchen making things from scratch. It just isn’t realistic for me.

In addition to all of the above reasons, I have a daughter with a heart condition, a son that has food aversions and reactions to certain dyes (red dye is not a good one if you have a child with ADD or ADHD…. actually any dye isn’t) and a husband with high blood pressure.

Another point I really want to express here is about the Grapeseed Oil. I have always been a huge fan of Olive Oil. In my mind I was cooking with the best possible health option for my family…. nope, I was wrong. Grapeseed Oil is definitely the way to go. Wildtree offers a variety of flavored Grapeseed Oils. You can read all about the health benefits HERE.

Wildtree is opening up across the country! It’s an all-natural, preservative-free direct sales company that is growing like crazy! It is direct sales/party plan, and it’s the simplest party I’ve ever seen or done, with about 10 minutes of information and then tasting many of the wonderful samples! It’s FUN and very social!

Basically there are 4 ways to be involved:

1. As a Representative – and we need you! There are just over 1000 representatives across the country at this point, so you could be THE FIRST or one of the first in your neck of the woods! It’s $115 for the kit… and it’s risk free if you eat!!

2. As a Host – just let me know when you want to earn tons of free food products (you MUST try the grapseed oils, the Asian Ginger Plum Dressing, and the Scampi blend first!). I can get a host packet in the mail and coach you on how to have a GREAT party. Super easy!

3. As a Culinary Club Member – this is a wholesale buying oppotrunity with specials made available monthly to you! It’s $25 for a Lifetime Membership and well worth every penny…. hey, you get 20% off of your purchases!

4. As a Customer! You will LOVE these fabulous products!

See my website for placing your order or taking advantage of our representative opportunity. There is a short video to watch if you are interested in doing so!

Did you know that Whole Foods is the fastest growing chain in the U.S.? Have you noticed that many of the fast-food chains are taking the trans-fats our of their food?

Generations ago, most Americans ate natural, nutritious food they grew themselves or bought from small, local grocers.

Then large food companies were formed and sought to improve their bottom line by extending the shelf life of their products. Scientists added more and more chemicals to foods. Now we all realize that many of those additives are harmful and governments have begun to address the issue.

Smart consumers interested in the health of their families aren’t waiting for government action. They are looking for better, healthier sources of foods. Look around you…. That’s where Wildtree comes in! It was formed on the premise that food should not only be natural and delicious but also easy to prepare. (and QUICK!) So whether you’re a gourmet cook, a wanna-be, or HATE it, Wildtree could be just what you need.

I look forward in hearing from you. My personal website for Wildtree is www.amanda.mywildtree.com, and all of my contact information is on the site if you have any questions. You can even sign up from there to become a rep!

So, this is what works for me, my family and my bank account 🙂 FYI – a lady that started 1 1/2 years ago is making a 6 figure income/year…. WOW huh? For other things that work for other people visit Kristen’s blog.

Chicken Broccoli Rice Casserole – Crockpot Style

This is now my husband’s favorite meal…. and mine. The dangerous part of it is you just can’t stop eating it.

-In crock put pour 2 cups of uncooked brown rice (you can use white)
-Mix together (I mix in my magic bullet) 1 cup of mayo, 1 1/2 cup of chicken broth, 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup – then pour mixture over rice
-Pour 3 cups of chicken broth over mixture and rice (this is in addition to the 1 1/2 cup used in the mixture)
-Place 2-3 boneless, skinless chicken breast in mixture and stir around
-Sprinkle Mrs. Dash Garlic Seasoning over the top – garlic salt if you’re into that

Cook on low for 6 hours – halfway through place your broccoli in and pour Parmesan cheese over the top

When done, take out the chicken and shred, then place back in and mix and serve.

I’m mapping out my day here, people

I am feeling slightly overwhelmed today. I could blame it on the new puppy, but it has nothing to do with her. In fact, she’s acting like a newborn baby and sleeping…. a lot. Thank you, Sophie, thank you!

I have a huge list of things that I need to accomplish, and I feel like I have no idea where in the world to begin.

Household:

  1. Mop floors – all of them
  2. Clean master bath
  3. Clean downstairs bath
  4. Have Roomba vacuum for me…… gotta love that Roomba!
  5. Do 4 loads of laundry
  6. Clean up my room so I can actually work in peace…I hate it when I let my room collect clutter and toys… not okay!

Wildtree:

  1. I need to schedule my 2 tasting launch parties
  2. Need to call on my SOI’s
  3. MUST call in on Team meeting call today….. excited!

For Work:

  1. Get Norm’s bills paid and in the mail
  2. Go through and do collections
  3. Spend 30 minutes working on Tenant files
  4. Spend 30 minutes working on taxes
  5. Spend 30 minutes working on insurances

CRAP – I have a really busy day ahead of me. Really busy. Guess I better turn off the computer, and start dinner. I’m making something absolutel delicious, which you lucky people will be getting the recipe in my next post.

Our Family’s New Addition…. and I need advice :)

Here’s Sophie!! She’s such a sweet addition 🙂

What a Sunday. It started for me at 5am waking up to Sophie pooping in her crate…. me not knowing, because it’s dark and letting her walk out of the crate instead of carrying her. It was gross, and made me want to cry, but we dealt with it.

She’s honestly done pretty well today on going to the bathroom outside…. I’m pretty proud! I must say though that dogs have HORRIFIC GAS! EWWWWWWWW!!!!!!! The kids have been having an absolute ball with her. They all run around the house chasing each other and having fun. Ella is hilarious and Jayden is so happy.

So, I’m funny in a way that I don’t like change. I hate it actually, and when you throw something new in the mix I feel kinda down. I’m feeling that way today and I’m not sure if it’s Sophie or if it’s a decision that I think we’re going to make. It actually could be a mixture of the 2.

A while ago I talked about an opportunity that my Grandma had offered us, which you can read about HERE. Basically I just never talked about it with her and made up my mind that it’s not doable. There’s no way in hell that I’m going to live in a *&it hole like Ely for 2 years. Just not happening. Well, she called today saying that she really needs our help, and I know this. I am the manager of this mobile home park there that is her’s, and I know that there are many things that need to get done. Things that I can’t make sure are getting done from Oregon. So, her new proposal is that we come for 6 months. This is a lot better than 2 years and is actually doable. If we leave when Jayden gets out of school then 3 months of that will be summer, in which we can take lots of little vacations with him. I won’t need to actually be in Ely for the entire 6 months, we can do 3 weeks there, 1 week on the road…. or something like that. The next 3 months after his summer break I’ll home school him until we return to Talent.

So, what’s my husband to do about work when this is all over? What are we going to do about insurance since I do have a Cardiac baby? This is why 6 months just might be okay. Gino can take a leave of absence from Home Depot for up to 6 months (I believe this is the max he’s going to check into this). At the end of our journey he will be guaranteed his job back at Home Depot, with no change in position or pay. Nice huh? For insurance we just pay Cobra and we will all remained medically insured.

The Perks?

  1. We get a 6 month vacation from life with guaranteed jobs after we’re done.
  2. Get to live for free
  3. All money I get paid just gets saved up
  4. We get to travel
  5. I get to spend time with my Great-grandma before she passes away
  6. Did I mention we get to travel????
  7. We will get to help my Grandma out in ensuring that the park is running smoothly and looking it’s best.
  8. We’d get to take the kids to the Salt Lake Temple…. Gino definitley needs to see that!
  9. All the above isn’t too bad right?

The Downfalls?

  1. Well, first off I’d be leaving all my friends that I’ve learned to love so much.
  2. I’d be leaving the beauty of Southern Oregon
  3. I would miss out on the first 2 1/2-3 months of my nephew’s life
  4. I’d be in the miserable town of Ely
  5. We’d have to change wards, which is something I really don’t want to do, but I think we’d be okay here. We are a very strong family, we’ve been through it all…. literally, and I know that we can make it through about anything. I know that we can stay strong in the church, and if Gino has issues with it I’ll just stay strong and set the best example I can.
  6. Jayden would miss out on the first month of school…. luckily here they don’t start school until September, so if we came back in October I’d only be homeschooling him for a month.

I think we might do it. We’ve been planning on moving out of this place anyways, since we’re growing out of it. So, in June we can leave and come back in October to a new home…. maybe even one we’ll own 🙂

I had amazing feedback on my last post regarding this topic, and I appreciate it all so much, so I’m begging for some here! Looking at the perks and downfalls, would we be dumb not to do this?
