We’re breaking away from Connections Academy. As much as I think the program is amazing, I don’t believe it’s for a special needs child. We’ve basically spent the majority of our time trying to play catch up. So we’re going to do our own thing for Homeschool, which I’m really excited about! To start out with…..
I’ve been invited to try Time4Learning for one month in exchange for a candid review. My opinion will be entirely my own, so be sure to come back and read about my experience. Time4Learning is an online educational program that can be used in many ways including as a homeschooling curriculum or afterschool tutorial. Find out how to write your own curriculum review for Time4Learning.
I’m very excited to try this program out with Jayden, because I think it’s something he will click with. I’ll be writing my review after our month of trying it out!!
We are also a time4learninf family. We love it. We started at the preK level. My son just advance to fourth grade in language last week. I will be checking back next month to see how much you love the program.

Kathi! You have NO idea how excited I am that you commented here and told me that you use this! I’ve been wanting to connect to someone who uses it. I’m not sure if you know, but I’m VERY new to homeschooling. The first couple of months of this school year my son was in public school (he’s 3rd grade) and then I took him out and did Connections Academy with him – I felt rushed and he felt rushed and I don’t think he was learning much because of it. So I quit that and am now doing it all on my own. I LOVE LOVE LOVE time4learning, but I’m seeing that people are using for in addition to other curriculum. Is it not enough to just do on its own? And where in the world can I do print outs? I need someone to take me by the hand and help me out 🙂
Are you aware of the Parent Groups and Forums on TIme4Learning? This is a great way to ask questions and connect with other T4L families. http://www.time4learning.net/groups/categories/state-groups/?pp=20&sort=name&order=asc Just click here and then click on your state.
We use T4L as our core curriculum. We do add things like Handwriting Without Tears. You just can’t learn handwriting on the computer. And we do lots and lots of activities like Nature Centers, Environmental Centers, Historic Sites. Right now we are using a Kumon workbook for multiplication. I felt like he needed a lot more work on that. Many of the lessons have printouts. If you look at the page where you click to start the lessons it will say Resources under the name of the lesson. Click on that and it will bring up a page you can print out and work on. Please feel free to email me any time.
